UX Design specializing in Product and Platform
I have showcased a few samples which provide an in-depth overview of my skills across the entire spectrum of UX, with a unique focus on Interaction Design. The focus on IXD is a unique, niche skillset that I have acquired over the years.

UPS Worldwide Express
Lead UX Designer spearheading the design efforts of 'Next Generation' of the Logistics platform.
The product was designed in Google's Material design on my recommendation. The product was designed in design sprints following UCD SAFe [Scaled Agile Framework] practices. This meant that the product's design had to be broken down into MMFs, and KPIs which dictate each design decision. Since this was a green field product, I had to spend extensive amounts of time explaining the research findings to business analysts and help the product team draw solid, fool-proof acceptance criteria and design stories in JIRA. |
UPS Worldwide Express - Salesforce Mobile App
Salesforce Customer app designed using Salesforce Lightning Design system.
Lead UX Designer for Salesforce app development efforts. This project was unique in the fact that the Salesforce implementation was envisioned by the CTO. Engineers from Salesforce offered the product as-is, out of the box and tuned it for 2 teams - Sales, and Operations. As a Lead UX Designer, it was my task to build a complete customized product specific to the brand using Lightning App Builder. This effort involved creating high fidelity interactive prototypes and demo'ing to the CTO on a weekly basis |
JPMorgan & Chase
At JPMC, I had the opportunity to lead the design efforts on a project called "Single Lending Desktop".
I was the Information Architect, and had to coordinate with BAs, SMEs, and PO proxies. I had to break the business epics into constituent user stories, perform Task Analyses, draw the Needs-End Goal Matrix, user flows, journey maps, and then finally the UI design comps for all the screens. This opportunity was unique because I had to learn PEGA UI and design to accommodate the elements as afforded by PEGA. This was also the first time I was designing a dashboard for a platform with such a massive user base. |
AXA Equitable
A corp-to-corp 'White Layer' software shipped to companies investing in AXA.
This software was meant to be deployed inside the companies' intranet, in such a way that employees accessing their 401k portal would be redirected to AXA's page. This portal also offered multiple services and functionalities like applying a loan against their 401k savings, transferring funds across accounts, changing beneficiaries, et al. |
The same corp-to-corp software was shipped with another product build in.
This product was essentially meant to be used by the finance, asset, and investment managers of the company where this platform was deployed. This product would help the investment managers keep track of all the employees who have been contributing towards 401k, plan and manage their portfolios, efficiently convey key insights by means of data-visualization, and generate insightful reports. |
AXA Equitable offered an app which helped its customers control and track their 401k investments and portfolios.
I spear-headed the UX efforts right from concept design, user-flows and journey maps, to Information Architecture, and UI Design. I used jQuery Mobile for development, and created a pattern/standards library . |
Ahold Inc (Stop&Shop)
This is one of the screens from the app designed for
Stop & Shop, meant to be used by the bakery department This is the landing page. The left panel was static. The center panel consisted of a scroll-able selector. This center panel would slide out of the left panel upon click. |
Wells Fargo Concept Design
Wells Fargo had a Concept Design Expo, where I conducted a workshop on "Rapid Prototyping in Lean UX".
I start from the basics of a project - UX briefings and touch on all the points of ideation like Content and Information Strategy. This example also talks about how Information Architecture, and User Research drives the overall product design. The final deliverables were white-board mock-ups, with a heavy focus on User-Centered Design principles. In the end, we talk about the concept of an "MVP" in design sprints, how to allocate effort and tasks in Kanban board, and how to convey the UX metrics in Lean UX to business stakeholders. |
