What is "Total UX"?

Picture

Don Norman wrote a beautiful book about User Experience called,
"Design of everyday things";  and is often defined as :

"User Experience (UX) involves a person's emotions and attitudes about using a particular product, system or service."

For me "Total User Experience" is analogous to a freshly baked pie.
The whole of it! Including the sweet aftertaste, the pie tray, the lingering aroma, and the associated memory that its' fragrance brings.

The trick to building a mind-blowing User Experience?
To imagine eating the pie while making it!
(I have my own secret recipe!)

What is "IX Design"?

Picture
In a broad sense of the term, IX Design or Interaction Design is defined as,
"A practice of designing interactive digital products and systems".

The Interaction Design Organization defines it as, "the practice of designing the myriad ways by which humans can interact with computers".
